Your mind-body energy is like water. Your mind is like the wind on top of the water. And then, if the wind is moving, it causes ripples on the surface of the water. With the ripple on the water surface, it then distorts the reflection.
So everybody is painting their own stories in life because of this internal agitation, mental agitation, involuntary identification. But once you can find a way to calm down your mind, stop the wind, there are no more ripples. So, what does that leave you with? True reflection. And more: what is being reflected on top of the water and what you can see from beneath the water, there is no intrinsic difference because there is no more distortion. They are one.
Not only they are one. You are also part of the oneness because they are there because of you.
Why is that? Every night, when you go to sleep, once you fall deep into your sleep, where is the world to you? The world does not exist. You do not exist. You are dormant somewhere inside of your body. Your senses stop functioning.
Your body needs to rest to rehabilitate itself from one day’s movement. So, in the morning, when you wake up, the moment you wake up, there is the world. So that is why without you there is no world. You have the source in the center of your world.
That is why I personally like the Chinese definition of the world. Do not take it as an English definition. In English definition, the word is just the word. No there is more to it. The Chinese sign for the world is composed of two words. It says (1) your existence in this life from birth to death (2) within a boundary.
This is something I want to remind you of. Do not just read on the surface. You have to read beyond the lines.
