Hey Howard, it’s been a while but I’d like to add testimony if you’d like.

What I like about Howard is that he has you doing the art in 10 minutes or less during the seminars.

He takes time for every participant and his advice is always on point. He not only sees and feels where you are going wrong, but he also knows where it comes from, the underlying issue.

Howard speaks from the heart and is a very fun teacher. He repeats a lot in very clear and direct language. Every time the words deepen because you experience it for yourself during practice.

During the seminars and after a while having a drink you feel his presence is working on both mind and body, they release old tension, it’s a gift to be around him.

Howard is very approachable and at the same time, for me, it is sometimes hard talking to him because through being in touch with him I can feel how I’m not fully talking from the heart. The stagnation in what I say. He taught me to smile more. 😊

Dear Howard,

This is my very personal testimony about the life-changing experience of meeting you and Prana Dynamics.

All my adult life I have been suffering from depression. My world was gray and there was no real meaning to life. Then I went to what I thought to be a martial arts seminar and met you there.

As a physicist by education and a martial artist for many years I thought by then that Qi is something that the Chinese had not really understood and that it could be explained by the physical laws of force and leverage.

Luckily I was sensitive enough and by touching you, I at once recognized that it is indeed something very different. That was a real eye-opener for me and the discovery was so profound that it felt to me like I had been living in a 2-dimensional world all my life and now suddenly discovered that there is a 3rd dimension that I had not noticed before.

From that moment my life had a new direction. I really wanted to unveil this new dimension for and in me. Soon I learned that this goes so much deeper than just sensing and using Qi and that Prana Dynamics offers the possibility of a scientific and validate-able approach to the first steps in spirituality on the way of reverse engineering once own being.

Ever since Prana Dynamics has been my clear road map and guideline for my personal evolution. Following those guidelines and my emerging inner guidance I started to pop up all the old emotional traumas that have been embedded in my body for so long. I faced those energies and learned to handle them, sort them and let them go. This way I started a process of reintegrating myself on a deeper level and my different subconscious forces gradually stopped fighting themselves and I started to experience a state where inner contradictions subsided and inner peace increased.

In this process of holistic body-mind reverse engineering, inner body tensions released and my life changed dramatically. Old body pains went away. The inner circulation of life energy was running freer and freer.

In the past, I used to suffer from flues every 2 to 3 months. Today, I am experiencing one every 2 years. By setting right my inner emotions also the depressions went away gradually and today I am living a peaceful and content life in ever-increasing harmony with myself and my true self. Even my many allergies and my asthma became less. My character cleared and my reactions to the outside world and the reactions and relationships of people to me changed for the better on a basis of love and understanding.

Yet those outward effects are only the changes that can be seen on the surface. Carrying Prana Dynamics in the heart and following its guidelines of reverse self engineering truly leads to so much deeper, so profound changes that they are out of the scope of a normal human experience and need to be experienced to be truly understood.

One begins to naturally see things as they are and understand the mechanisms and happenings in and of life. The different parts of human bondage like soul and spirit are directly experienced and harmonized with. Qi and heart do not remain empty words but start to be filled with meaning and deep and direct understanding and integration into being.

All parts reveal themselves bit by bit and by harmonizing with them the journey goes ever deeper back to the direction of the source. Tranquility, harmony, and deep inner freedom emerge.

Prana Dynamics is the key to true inner spirituality if the heart is truly set to this path.

In the animated human body, there are three energy centers:

  • The abdomen is the center of vitality for the normal functioning of the body mechanism.
  • The head is the center for the mind energy, corresponding your body sensations to the involuntary participation with the external manifestation.
  • The heart is the center of the astral energy, orchestrating both the vital and mental energy in animation.

By opening up from the heart, I am referring to the practice of modulating the de-flamed mental energy at the guidance of the mental orb to confluent both the mind-body energy to the chest where the heart locates.

With the released muscular tension and activation of the fascia, together with the alignment of joints to connect to the antenna, then one is able to baptize oneself by releasing the de-flamed mental orb to the heart as an observer.

Then it is possible for one to breathe in rhythm with the energy in animation, modulating the vibration and frequency, en-rapport with the life energy in animation, cultivating the capability to exhale and inhale, inflation, and deflation.

From the substratum of the Prana in animation, one will be able to see that the All in manifestation is nothing but mentalism, life energy in animation, Prana in Dynamics.

The Mind is the Common Blocking Factor!

This is the common dilemma for people because everybody starts with the mind and trying to use their mind to understand something, to attend something. to achieve something. This is wrong.

You cannot use your mind to transcend your mind because the mind can only function after the body sentience begins to be animated. The mind, within the boundary of your sentience, the mind cannot transcend the sensation.

So whatsoever you do with the mind will be nothing but your intellectual speculation or imagination. Why do you meditate, who is meditating and what are you looking for? Clarify the scenario first. The vipassana is for people to learn, to realize, to guide your focus of mind your mental focus on the nose, nose to your throat. That is, you put your mental focus in one spot so that the mind will not disturb you anymore. That is to calm down your mind. That is the first step for people who are not mature enough to understand the pointers or the essence of the teachings. The wisdom from beyond the mind.

That is why, from traditions to traditions, all different traditions, all the different gurus and masters, for them to impart this knowledge to people they face the common challenge. Everybody as a kindergarten student, they all start with the mind. They want to have this knowledge in the form of a conceptual understanding. But anything conceptual is still of the mind, it is of the intellect. Intellecting, the claw of the mind holding people back. So that is why they give people very simple exercises in the hope they can learn to recognize the mind. Once you can recognize your mind, you can then make a difference about it.

So this methodology of Prana Dynamics I am trying to teach you, one of the key essence is, once your fascia is activated, you can recognize the focus of your mind. You know how to deflame your mind so that your unconsumed mental energy can then have a better chance to confluent with your body energy throughout your fascia system. And then you are not an individual no more because there is no ego, there is no mind that which distorts and distorts you from the real perception of the essence of the teachings from the teachers.

But the thing is that people are so very stubborn, they are still in the mind and once the teachers are about to disappear, to pass away, they panic. So they formalize the teacher’s words, they formalize and prescribe the teacher’s practices and formalize it, institutionalize it and religionize it in accord with their imagination.

There is no escape from this. So once you can recognize your mind, you can then release your mind to some extent. Then you are not bound by this ego, you are not bound by this personality. Like the essence of the Buddha teachings, people who are bound by the mind are called Loki or Loka, someone with a personality. All the narrow people. They cannot possibly understand what he is trying to teach so that is why I give them the simple precept, rules, homework for them to learn to recognize their mind so hopefully one of them will be able to settle down their mind and be able to feel from the opening of the heart what he was talking about.

So, once you can walk out of the shadow of your mind, dissolute your mind, become a nobody, and then there is nobody, there is no ego, there is no personality so there is someone without a personality. It is called Aloka, Aloki. Aloki’s are the ones who are ready for the true teachings.

Not for you to be bound by the fallacy of traditions or legends like I want to become a Buddha, I want to learn, I want to meditate. Well, you do not know what you are looking for, you are still in your imagination. You have not made the very first step yet.

If you can find the balance, release your body, release your body tensions, then there is a chance for you to release your mind, baptize yourself internally, baptize yourself with the release the mental energy to come fluent through your fascia. And then you are not the individual. you become in one with this energy body. This is what Prana Dynamics is for. I am getting you to harmonize yourself with this energy body through tension modulation, through internal breathing. I can help you to lay a good foundation for you to begin with the true spiritual journey from inside of your mind-body.

Heaven, Man & Earth into Oneness

Keep on with the practice. Rome is not built in a day. Even though all roads will lead you to Rome.

The thing is that you already are to Rome, just that you have been blocked out by your own involuntary mental and physical habits which you have accumulated for yourself for so many years. This is where the difficulty is.

Just to remind you, as I said earlier, on the path of this art there is only yes or no. There is nothing in between. If there is a mystery that means you do not really get it. You are still trying to use your mind to understand it and then it becomes a mystery. It becomes then mystical to people. But they actually know. If you are in the state, if you begin to sense it, there is no mystery. But later on, you become the magic to people.

This is how far away people are from this but yet again it is difficult to phrase it into words. So, when you are rooting, when you are standing, in the classics we call this heaven, men, earth in oneness. This is where it needs some explanation.

The heaven element in you is your mental energy. The earth element is of your physical body. The man is the ego. So traditionally, in ancient Chinese, there is body energy, there is mental energy. They are exactly the same pronunciation but different in character. They all pronounce chi but in character they are different. So the body energy is composed of two parts. It is called rice energy, food energy. And the mental energy is composed of two parts, so literally means no flame. Your ego-mind is the mental energy on flame. Once you de-flame your ego-mind energy, you are just pure mental energy.

This may sound a little bit confusing but we try to incorporate other spiritual teachings. It is called primal energy. With the infusion of this primal energy into the body, that which animates life, then your body sentience begins to function. On top of your body sentience what is been animated, the energy state is called the temporal state. This is a Taoist term. And the Hermetic term is astral energy. In Buddhist terms, they call it casual energy.

It is like a sandwich. You have this primal energy prior to the sentience and then the sentience is animated and then everything on top of the body sentience is the temporal energy. And this temporal energy, once it is on flame it is called the ego-mind. Once you de-flame your mental energy then it is just this temporal energy. We call it the energy without flame.

So, once you align your structure, once you feel comfortable remember the sensations. Your mind-body energy will begin to synchronize into oneness and then surrender and release yourself. This is a surrender, this mental surrender is called baptism. It is not ceremonial, it is not a ceremonial practice. It is the practice.

Release your mind and once you release your mind this will release mental energy then have the potential to confluent with your body energy throughout your fascia system. This is what we are trying to explore.

Now you have a practice. Now you have sensed it, you have a little bit of taste of it. Remember the sensation and then try to figure it out by yourself. Keep on thinking. Do not take any of my words too seriously. As I said, you do not even have to believe in any words I said because in the nature of the art, by the end of the day, you know it is you who is practicing. It is you who is looking. It is your mind, that is your body. You are the only one to make a difference in yourself. Nobody else can do it for you, including me.

So at best, use me as a travel guide. I am a professional travel guide, guiding people from a stronghold of the mind back into their heart.

But then you have to validate for yourself.
Sense it for yourself.
Chew it for yourself.
Validate for yourself.

Harmonizing with the Conscious Presence

What your experience is actually a positive sign. It is a sign of something that is awakening up in you. Free of the stronghold of the mind.

This is exactly what this art is about. To inflict an internal revolution and by letting go, by letting go you open up. And by opening up everything becomes more and more intuitive. You just become self-aware.

As I try to explain to you guys from the energy perspective. From the temporal mind. On top of it, there is body energy, there is mental energy, and also the substratum, the temporal energy.

Different traditions have a different name for it. Like the Buddhists that call it the casual body and hermetic call it the astral body. And the Daoists call it the primordial energy.

It is like a sandwich. If you can surrender your mind what remains is the confluence of the mind-body energy at the function of your sentience. But if you can settle in deeper, you are actually synchronizing with this primal energy. And once you can tap into this primal energy, it is kind of beyond your sentience, then this awakening effect will manifest itself. You begin to sense and feel prior to the sensations. You begin to know what you are about to say even before you utter a word.

This is a sign of freedom. This is a sign of intuition and spontaneity. But then the rest of the practice is not a martial practice, it is a spiritual practice. You try to abide yourself in a court in oneness with this primal energy. Of course on top of your sentience. But once you can settle into the sentience, where does that lead you to? You tap into the dimension of your conscious presence. All your energies are spiraling from that object.

So you keep on with the practice, especially calming down your mind. Trying to calm down, baptize yourself. The deeper you baptize yourself, you are corresponding and synchronizing with this primal energy and that is the state you want to be in because that is the state of your conscious presence.

This conscious presence does not belong to you as an individual, it is universal because it is exactly the same primal energy that animates life, it is exactly the same energy that animates all the life, not only on this planet, in the universe. And that is the omnipresence. That is immortality.

But if you try to use your mind to understand that you cannot because the mind is very limited and it is always within a certain experience of your body sentience.

You cannot use the mind to transcend the mind. So what can you do? Surrender your mind to your heart and then everything will begin to click in you. Like all the Buddha stations, if you know what I mean by empathy, you have empathized with him, and then his words become your words, and everything clicks in you. That is the moment of true understanding.

Instead of trying to repeat or memorize his words, his teachings, etc, that is still bound by your mind in the form of our intellectual understanding. And then you will be able to tell that anything intellectual is not understanding. You are still bound by the mind because intellect is the claw of your mind. You want to cling to it, you want to attach yourself with it because you do not know. You need guidance in the darkness of your mind. You need the guidance to get it and find your way out of it.

Once you cling yourself to other people’s knowledge you do not see it, you do not sense it yourself. You are still bound forever in the darkness of the ego. So, if you see this picture and open up your eyes and your heart, you look around.

That is what I said you know, once I graduated myself from the fallacy of tradition, from the martial arts journey, when I flipped the coin around, turn my eyes, turn my heart, I look into the spiritual dimension. I saw exactly the same fallacy.

So the observation you described today is actually very good, congratulations! It is a very good sign but it only happened to you like a sparkling and then, what the heck is going on, then it is gone. I call it the touch of epiphany, I call it kisses by the angels.

The more you stabilize yourself with it, the more it will occur to you and then it becomes constant. The light from inside of your heart becomes stabilized. You become the light and the torch to people.

So all the saints experience the same experience. Of course, everybody’s story or everybody’s journey is different from one to the other but whatever they have discovered is exactly the same experience as you described. But for you, it is just a casual happening. You cannot make it happen, it happens to you.

But if you stabilize yourself more and more and more and then you will become the constant companion and then you are harmonized. Harmonize yourself to it. This is the way to go. This is something difficult to verbalize, something difficult to describe, but once you sense it you sense it. Keep on with it!

On Qi

When it comes to Qi, the same pronouncement contains two distinctive Chinese words, one is body energy”ζ°£”, another is mental energy”炁”.

Traditionally there are lots of misinterpretations, including Dan Tien, a Taoist alchemist term literally the field of the elixir of life, the whereabouts of the beginning of life animation.

In accord with Chinese tradition, people made too much fuss over this term by using the mental intellect to interpret the connotation of the term.

If to modify the connotations, and replace Dan Tien”δΈΉη”°” with energy center, then it will make a better sense.

The energy center of the body “ε₯ζ°£” is at the abdomen where digestive function locates. Food energy is that which nourishes the healthy body mechanism.

The energy center of the mind “意氣” is located at the head, the stove for the flaming mind.

The energy center of the conscious presence “ε…ƒζ°£” is located at the heart, the energy that derives from the Primal energy prior to the animated sentience.

Those three energy centers, conceptually different, yet in actuality, they are intrinsically One temporal energy animated through the Primal energy in animation with the veiling of sentience.

Trinity – The Animation Mechanism

Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching – Chapter 42

His perception. He said, before the coming of life there is just emptiness. It is a void. It is emptiness. It is on the surface. It is a big void. You cannot describe it. But in this big void and there is energy in emanation.

For any energy to be in function you need to have two polarities like Yin and Yang. So he called this energy Tai Chi, the primal energy. So this primal energy is functioning like a light in the void. But whatsoever object that has a psychosomatic potential to be animated into life, once this primal energy touches that object, this primal energy gets infused in, so the animation process begins.

The combination of this primal energy, together with the animation mechanism, is called Essence. It is called essence. You are animated. You are on. You have a light.

And then, subject to the construct of that specific psychosomatic apparatus, it begins because of the genes or the genomes and the design in the genome. They evolve.

Once the animation begins then, with the veiling of the sentience, everything you can see, you can feel, you can sense, they are temporal by nature. It is like the relationship between the mirror and the reflection. It is because of this animation process you are being animated, alive, and whatsoever you can feel and sense is nothing but your own reflection.

The state of Essence, that is the primordial state, the inclusion of this primal energy to the body, the Essence, that is called ONE. In that state, there is no sense of ego. There is no ego. It is just an animation being alive.

But once the animation, once your body sentience begins to evolve and dominate; I feel, I sense, I am. That is the ego. So this one has two dimensions. This ego I. Beneath the water, prior to your sentience, primal energy in animation, the temporal energy or this energy body we call it the astral body. In accord with the hermetic terms. Anything above your sentience is the stage of the mind, the ego-mind.

And the nature of the ego-mind is duality, discrimination. I feel. I sense. I am. So ONE plus TWO equals THREE. With the coming of the THREE, there is a world. This is Lao Tzu’s statement. From ZERO there is ONE. From the coming of ONE spontaneously there is TWO. With the coming of the TWO, TWO plus ONE equals to THREE: trinity.

He said, if you follow the sequence of this evolution, this is exactly what makes you human. However, if you can find a way to reverse engineer yourself, this is the way to your holiness. This is why Prana Dynamics, this is why all the spiritual teachings before they have been documentized into a religion. It is not so difficult as you think it is but I think that if you think about it you are still in the mind. It is exactly the mind that blocks you from it. So you have to learn to take off your mind. You have to learn to release your mind. You have to learn to find a way to disidentify yourself from the mind. It is without fighting against it because the mind can be the worst possible enemy you can possibly have. So release it. Release your identity from it.

But it is easier said than done. If this is the common denominator that blocks people from true understanding, from true seeing, then you have to pay attention to your mind. This is where the difficulty is with the advent of contemporary medical science. You can go to the hospital and ask the doctor to cut off your body. Doctor, please show me my mind. It is impossible. Medical science, at best they can show you the shape and size of your naked heart. They can even show you the picture of your genes. They cannot show you your mind. What is your mind?

Every moment you are using it. Or no, you are being used by it. Every moment. But it is bizarre. People have never been trained or guided to learn to recognize it. You have to learn to recognize your mind. That is the first step. This is the common first step across all spiritual teachings and religions.

Even the Chinese word my mind, if you put them into one word, it says enlightenment. The moment you can see it: enlightenment. But this is where the joke begins. A lot of people are spiritual or they are into religion for this purpose: I want to be enlightened.

Basically in this enlightenment is just the first step. But being able to see and sense your mind you can separate yourself, you can then walk out of the shadow and then you become the seer. You are becoming the observer. You will be an intuitive understanding, a perception like a touch or an epiphany or kisses by the angels. You do not have to say it because then words will begin to become redundant. But it is the beginning of the true journey.

Like Jiddu Krishnamurti already said: “Truth is a pathless land.” The first step, the most important step… He literally spent his lifelong journey trying to convince and explain to people, if you are spiritual, the first step you have to achieve is to separate the observer from the observed. This is the beginning of true spirituality. What does that mean? Walk out of the shadow of your mind.

If you can see in the sentience, once the animation process begins, your essence, energy and spirit in oneness. The essence, energy spirit: this is the trinity of Kung Fu. So energetically, after the infusion of this primal energy in the body, everything is temporal. There is a substratum of our energetics. You are this primal energy in animation. Once this is in animation it is called astral energy.

For any energy to function you have to have two polarities in it. So there is body energy. The passive one, that animates the mechanism of the sentience. And then there is active energy. It then becomes the functionality of your mind. It supports and sustains the functionality of the ego-mind. And to this mental energy; the ancient Chinese people had a specific term for this because actually, when it comes to energy, the pronunciation of energy in Chinese is called Chi. But traditionally this word is referring to body energy because the composition of this energy is very simple; it says rice energy. food energy. Your body energy.

For your mind, there is another character which is also pronounced Chi but it is composed of two parts. It says no flame. It is referring to the mental image.

Nirvana means no more fermentations, energetically. What is being fermented is your mind, your mental energy on flame. So you have to put out the flame so that you can sense the energy. And this energy is just one of the polarities of this astral energy in animation in you.

The mind has flame / no flame. When I am talking about mental energy it is the mental energy without flame, without the ego, without identification and we try to confluence this mind-body energy together in the body, and then we can get closer and trace it back to the source. Where is the source? At best you can trace it back to the astral energy or this energy for conscious presence. The light of the animated.
At best!

So leveraging your body sentience together with modulating of your mental focus. It is possible!

Validation-Self Exploration, Key from Understanding to Seeing

This dimension opens up. I felt very deep into it and on the way there I can feel that… At first, I called it philo dynamic because once I enter this dimension, all the questions I had to the art, I can see the answers next to the question from inside of myself.

Once I see the answer; no more questions. No more questions, one more bubbles up, one more bubbles up. It is like a philosophy dynamics in me. That is the first stage and later, the fewer and fewer the questions, the more I see. The more I see the culture of universality from the inside of myself because I reintegrated the connection of the mind-body energy to the astro energy and I settle in.

That is why I can explain to you things that you cannot find from any of the classics or any other books. But if you really listen to me from your heart and if you really practice and explore and validate my words in you, you will sense it yourself. You sense it yourself. And this is the process of what they call self-awakening.

It is self-awakening because Rome is not built in a day. It is not like this, with a click, with a touch of epiphany you are awake. No, no, no, that is the first step.

One layer is one layer of ignorance itself. Another layer that ignores itself. Like the peeling of the onion skin. And the more you can let go, open up and let it go. By letting go you open up from inside out until there is no more skin for you to let go of. Okay, you are there.

This is exactly the same for the what one of the bad range of what you call the nathi nithia path, Not this, not that. Not this, not that.

But it is not for your mind to say Not this, not that. That is ego. That is using your mind to rationalize it and to intellectualize it. You are still bound by the mind. You are still in the mind. So that is why you can get nowhere. Because in that mentality, whenever there is something wrong, it is always other people’s fault but mine.

So this is a mistake you know. That is why I keep on reminding you guys that on the path of this art, for martial arts or for spiritual orientation, whenever and wherever there something wrong, there is always something wrong in you.

You have to learn to diagnose yourself. Once you can diagnose yourself, this is wrong, this is tension, I am holding the tension, here I am trying and wanting too much… This is exactly what blocks me. Let go of it. Let go of the striving. Let go of the wanting. let go of the effort. Let go of your mind. You are there.

So, do not take it literally or do not take it conceptually. Of course, we have to… For you to embark on this journey… This is why the Q&A is important because I am trying my best to paint for you, at least conceptually, the map the road map. But once you have the conceptual understanding in place then the next challenge is that you have to prepare your ears and really embark on the journey. Practice, validate, sense that for yourself. This is
the nature of the art.

Once you embark on the journey you are making self-discoveries each step along the way. That is why I said, the nature of practice is not for you to repeat the same pattern time and time again but every time you practice you make some new discoveries, you make some new sensations. This is the best way for you to go in the right direction. This is the essence of self-validation. So, that is why you do not take any of my words too seriously. Listen to me, remember and go back and practice and validate. Digest it in you.
